THORPE MARKET, a village 18 miles N.N.E. of Norwich, 5 miles S.S.E. of Cromer, and 4½ miles N.N.W. of North Walsham. The parish comprises 1309 acres, and contained, in 1841, 261 inhabitants; its present residents are:- 

	Clark    George         farmer
	Cushion  Philip         farmer & beer retlr.
	Earl     William        shoemaker
	Mayes    Robert         baker
	Martins  Richard        farmer
	Weeds    James Faulke   grocer and draper
