SHIPDHAM, a village 19 miles W. of Norwich, and 5 miles S. by W. of East Dereham. The parish comprises an area of 4520 acres, and the population in 1841 was 1861. Post-Office, at Sarah Mendham's. Letters delivered at 7 a.m. and despatched to Norwich and all parts, via Swaffham, at 7.30 p.m.
