It had 32 inhabitants in 1881, living on 840 acres, and has a rateable value of £1001. F.A. Morse Boycott, Esq., of Heath, Herts, is lord of the manor and owner of the soil. The Hall is occupied, the farm being held by Mr. G. Dixon.
The CHURCH (St. Margaret) was dilapidated many years ago, and a portion of the tower is all that remains. F.A. Morse Boycott, Esq., Sennoweville, Bushey, is patron of the rectory, which was valued in the King's Book at £6, and is now a sinecure worth £10, in the incumbency of the Rev. C. St. Denys Moxon, B.C.L.
