1. "Caulton" is possibly Carlton near Lowestoft?
2. SCRATBY had NO one who voted at this poll because of a freehold in the same place. An Entry is to be found above in Runham of a Scratby resident voting because of other freeholds. This hamlet was annexed to Great Ormesby (Ormesby St. Margaret) according to Whites directory of 1845.
3. In the transcription of the Poll Book the modern spelling of place names has been added in brackets "()" to many of the entries so that a search will find them.
