3. In the transcription of the Poll Book the modern spelling of place names has been added in brackets "()" to many of the entries so that a search will find them.
4. Total missing on original.
5. "Fromanteel" is down as "Fromantle" in the J.Crouse publication of this poll.
6. Place given is for Mr Humphry is "Barningham" - see next Note.
7. There is no "Little Banningham" in Norfolk only a "Little Barningham" so this is currently assumed to be the same place?
8. These places came from the J.Crouse 1768 Poll book.
9. "John Jex" is not in Crouse Poll book.

Places with no voters

The following places :-
BURGH next Aylsham, IRMINGLAND, MANNINGTON and WOLTERTON
had no one who lived there and voted because of a freehold in the same place.

Note that many people still voted based on a freehold held elsewhere. An example of this is Stow Bardolph with no entries but with the following :-

Francis Rising is under Hockering because of his freehold there but lives in Stow Bardolph.
William Barton a Clerk (Clergyman) is under Wiggenhall because of his freehold there but lives in Stow Bardolph.

South Erpingham Hundred is followed in the Poll book by Holt Hundred.
