COUNTY COURTS

COUNTY COURTS. - For County Court purposes, Norfolk is principally included in two circuits - the Norfolk circuit, No. 32, and the Suffolk circuit, No. 33 - though a few places are in Wisbech county court district (No. 32), one in Ely district (No. 32), and one in Holbeach district (No. 17). Some of the parishes, &c., in Thetford, Harleston, Diss and Eye, and Yarmouth county court districts are in Suffolk, while courts for places in Norfolk are held at Beccles and Bungay, in Suffolk.

The judge of the Norfolk circuit is E. Plumer Price, Esq., Q.C., of 69 Milsom Road, Kensington, London; and of the Suffolk circuit, Sir F. Roxburgh, Q.C., 53 Westbourne Terrace, London, W. The judge at Holbeach is S. Jones, Esq., LL.D., Newport House, Lincoln.

The following table gives the towns in which County Courts are held, the Circuit and the Bankruptcy district to which such courts belong, and the names of the registrars:-

County Courts are not held in the month of September. At Yarmouth, Wymondham, Lynn, Dereham, Fakenham, Norwich, Aylsham, and Wisbech courts are held monthly; occasionally a court is held at Walsingham instead of Fakenham. At Thetford, Swaffham, Holt, North Walsham, Attleboro', Ely, and Downham, courts are held once in two months. Courts are held at Diss and Eye, and Bungay and Beccles, in alternate months.
